In the latest Bengali TV serial Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay, Radhika (played by Swastika Dutta) recently found out that her fiance Kaushik had lied to her about having a girlfriend, thanks to a plan devised by her boss Karna Sen (played by Krushal Ahuja). Being sensitive, she broke down. Karna then took her to the office terrace and asked her to scream out loud, telling her that it is a good way to take out all the sadness and frustration that had built up inside her. Even though Radhika was initially sceptic, she eventually did try out Karna’s suggestion and guess what, it helped!

While Radhika’s boss gave an innovative suggestion to get rid of her sadness, we too have a few tricks up our sleeve. Here are four ways in which we think you can vent out your anger or sadness.

While you wish to deal with your problems all by yourself, it is okay to rely on someone else. You can always share your feelings with your loved ones. Speaking our hearts out helps us voice our opinions openly, which in many cases, ends up answering all the questions we have. If you are worried about being judged by your close ones, then you can reach out to a professional therapist as well.

2. Pen down your emotions

Many health experts believe that writing can help you cool down. When you express your feelings on paper, you start to let out all your emotions and begin to see past them. While many keep their written work to themselves, others tend to burn or tear it apart so that all their distress gets destroyed with it.

3. Engaging in a physical activity

Physical activities are one of the best ways to get rid of all the stress and irritation that you feel. Many even believe that working out when you feel low actually helps you cheer yourself up. Physical activities also help you to focus better and reach out to the root cause of the problem. Walking also helps you clear your head.

4. Taking a small vacation

Getting away is always known to help people become more focused and productive. People who are known to take breaks frequently are known to be creative and happy. Even if it means a mini weekend trip away from home and work, when you feel distressed, you always have the choice to go on a small vacation to reset your mood and solve the issue when you return.
