Satyanweshi Byomkesh, directed by Sayantan Ghosal, is the latest movie featuring everyone’s favourite Detective Byomkesh Bakshi, essayed this time by Parambrata Chattopadhyay. In this latest Bengali movie, Byomkesh is summoned to investigate the death of Hena Malik, a beautiful girl who fell to her death from the terrace of the house she was living in. A plot full of intrigue with all the elements of murder, love, lust, politics and melody, this thrilling mystery film will have you hanging on to your seat at every moment, in a very enjoyable way!
There are several reasons to watch Jyeshthoputro, including the fact that it is the first time Prosenjit and Ritwick Chakraborty, two great powerhouses of talent, share screen space and play the lead roles as brothers. Directed by Kaushik Ganguly, the film is based on a script written by the late Rituparno Ghosh, a maven of the industry. 3. The Lovely Mrs Mukherjee
The Lovely Mrs. Mookherjee is a ZEE5 Original film starring the brilliant Swastika Mukherjee in the lead role. This is a film with a sharp social message too and is about a self-obsessed man whose only desire is to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. He wants to get married to a woman so she can serve his everyday needs. He has no regard for his future wife other than that, and in this witty film, we get to see how this works out for him.
Kidnap is another latest Bengali movie you can watch on ZEE5. This action-packed film, with a fair amount of romance, is directed by Raja Chanda, and features actors Dev and Rukmini Maitra, who are also a couple in real life! Rukmini plays Meghna, a photojournalist who stumbles upon a human trafficking racket in a club. One of the criminals find out that she is onto them and her life is in danger. Amar Artanad is a drama directed by Sujit Paul starring industry icons such as Soumitra Chatterjee, Arpita Chatterjee and Manoj Mitra in the lead roles.
