An intense action-filled movie which shows all that happened leading to India’s first surgical strike in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir by the Indian Army, Uri: The Surgical Strike was a blockbuster hit. The story shown is divided into five chapters, which show the entire process behind the infamous surgical strike. Starring Vicky Kaushal, Paresh Rawal and Yami Gautam in the lead roles, the movie manages to capture every bit of the story. Watch it below:
Parmanu, starring John Abraham, Boman Irani and Diana Penty in the lead roles, is about the events leading up to India becoming a nuclear power post the nuclear tests conducted in Rajasthan’s Pokhran. Captain Ashwat Raina wanted to make India a nuclear state. But his efforts were first criticised and later, he received help from the government. The only threat was an American satellite, which got wind of the first test preparations. Will the Captain manage to conduct the second test in secret?
3. Panther: Hindustan Meri Jaan
The country is in danger from terrorists. Enter Panther, the best agent of RAW. He faces tough situations and goes on a solo mission to stop a terrorist group from attacking India. Panther: Hindustan Meri Jaan features Jeet and Shraddha Das, and has elements of action and patriotism in it. Don’t miss it.
4. Subash Chandra
Let’s go back in time to the black-and-white era. Subhash Chandra is based on the life of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, the most-influencial leader of the Indian freedom movement. This classic movie gives an account of his life from his childhood until his alleged death. Directed by Pijush Basu, the film speaks about the challenges and the trials that made him the brave leader that he later became.
5. The Tashkent Files
Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, The Tashkent Files is a thriller that talks about the mysterious death of India’s second Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. The story attempts to uncover the real reason behind his death while dealing with the perspective that he actually was assassinated. Don’t miss this movie starring Mithun Chakraborty, Naseeruddin Shah, Vinay Pathak, Pankaj Tripathy and Sweta Basu Prasad in the lead roles.
