No place like the hills in the winter. And Himachal Pradesh has always been an eternal favourite with Bengalis. Recently, Bhalobashar Shohor – Arshinagar actor Chandan Roy Sanyal, was in the hilly state, shooting for the ZEE5 Original web series Bhram. He shared tons of photos on his social media, of the green and misty hills, and that is making us yearn to go there too. Watch his film here:
Chail, where Chandan spent a lot of time shooting, is a peaceful hill station which is quite close to the state capital Shimla. Chail is home to the world’s highest cricket and polo grounds and has the heritage Chail Palace. Expect lots of greenery and astounding views when in Chail.
Khajjar has recently started getting popular with tourists. Also known as Mini Switzerland of India, Khajjar dates back to the 12th century when the Khajji Nag Temple was built. There’s the beautiful Khajjar Lake which is surrounded by cedar forests. You can also visit the Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary.
4. Solang Valley
Dharamsala is where the Dalai Lama resides. Surrounded by dense pine forests, this town in the upper region of Kangra Valley has beautiful suburbs like McLeod Ganj, Bhagsu, Dharamkot and Naddi, etc.
