In a recent episode of the latest Bengali TV serial Nakshi Kantha, aired on November 6, 2019, we saw Shabnam (played by Manali Dey) trying to convince Jash (played by Suman Dey) that he is mistaken about Rohini changing her colours and not wanting to bring harm to her. Since she has faced such incidents in the past, Shabnam is naturally wary. However, Jash is not convinced. He is certain that Rohini has changed, and even gives the example of her getting cake for Shabnam’s birthday as proof. Shabnam though, has a gut feeling that she is going to face some dangerous situation too. We tell you why it’s a good thing for Shabnam, and for you, to always follow your instincts.

Your intuitions are often based on experiences you have had in the past. So if you are coming across similar situations or meeting similar people, it is only natural for the butterflies in the stomach to start fluttering. While you listen to people close to you before reacting to something, don’t ignore the signs your body is trying to send you. After all, you are the best person to take decisions about yourself.

2. Facts are not enough

You might often have to decide on things but not have all facts or evidences handy. That is when your instinct comes into play. Relying on it may be a good idea.

3. Lets you decide

Sometimes, when you need to make quick decisions, it’s your instinct that will tell you what to do. Your mind is a storehouse of information and sends you signals through your instincts on what you should be doing.

4. Trusting someone

Does it often happen that you ignore your instincts about a person that you have met and later, during adverse situations, you realise that you should have just followed your gut? Well, next time, pay attention to your instincts before trusting someone.
