Starring Swastika Mukherjee, Rahul Banerjee and Vikramjit Chaudhury, Take One tells the story of an actor, Doel Mitra. Doel becomes famous because of a sex scene which goes viral online. Needless to say, she becomes subject to severe criticism and trolling. At the same time, she is shooting for a mythological play where she is essaying the role of Sita. This 2011 film, starring Rituparna Sengupta, Priyanshu Chatterjee and Rohit Roy is a good take on relationships. It is the story of Arunabha, a middle-aged man who lives with his daughter Rinka and his sisters Srimati and Payel. However, one of his sisters commits a crime unknowingly. 4. Elar Char Adhyay
Elar Char Adhyay will transport you back in time to the British era. A teacher, Ela joins a group to fight for independence from the British. The group’s leader Indranath tries everything possible to succeed in their mission to free India. Meanwhile, Ela falls in love with Atindra. What will she choose now? Love, or struggle for freedom? A list of Bengali romantic movies is incomplete without a movie starring the icon Uttam Kumar. Even so many years after his death, he remains the only Bengali superstar whose appeal cuts across generations. In Amanush, Uttam pairs up with Sharmila Tagore.
