In the ZEE5 Original film Filter Coffee Liquor Chaa, Nishan Nanaiah plays the role of Subu, a corporate worker for whom cooking is a passion. Convinced by his flatmate Himeli (played by Priyanka Sarkar), he agrees to be a part of his cookery show. Thanks to his cooking skills, the TRPs of Himeli’s show rise. Is he a foodie in real life? Going by the Instagram account of Lake Gardens boy Nishan (he now lives in Mumbai), it sure looks like he is. We got you proof. Scroll down.

“As a kid I used to live to eat but now I eat to live,” Nishan tells us. But this perfectly framed photo of his breakfast of akuri eggs and toast tell us otherwise.

Trust a Kolkata boy to love desserts, even if he is away from Kolkata. Even though Nishan follows quite a strict fitness routine, he does give in to cravings at times. This buttermilk and blueberry pancake is proof.

“Mutton adraki panja (top), Nawabi kebab (bottom left- chicken kebab filled with mutton keema) n Bhopali kebab (bottom right).. Delicious, amazing, mouthwatering r all an understatement.. no adjectives invented to describe their food..one shud visit #punjabirasoi (kolkata) – (lane next to acropolis mall)- to know what am talking about..authentic yum Punjabi food.. difficult to say which is better their food or S## ;)” With a review like this, we think Nishan can do foodblogging in his spare time.

Nitro coffee is everywhere! It’s a trend no one seems to be able to escape. Nishan seems to be no exception.

There are few things as delicious as chholey-kulche. This photo is just making our mouths water and making us crave for some.

Kolkata is a paradise when it comes to street food. Nishan tells us that he had a lot of street food while shooting for Filter Coffee Liquor Chaa. We wonder if this photo was taken during the shoot?

From street food to delicious cottage cheese Taiwanese baos, we like how the actor likes to experiment with food.

Molten chocolate cupcake, vanilla ice cream. Can there ever be a better combination in foodie universe?

Chicken chipolata sausages with veggies. Some Kolkata food institutions keep proving why they are worth multiple repeat visits. Nishan’s post is making us crave for some good, old Mocambo.

Does this photo need a caption? We are sure everyone identifies the iconic Chelo Kebab from one of the most popular restaurants of Park Street.

Porota and alur dom. Breakfast in Bengali households on Sundays is incomplete without this combination. We wonder whether Nishan has a particular liking for Bengali food.

A Sunday breakfast which consists of Egg Florentine looks like the most amazing one. We could wake up on a Sunday morning for breakfasts like these, we swear!

If you are health-conscious like Nishan, olive oil will feature somewhere high on your grocery shopping list. More so if you like Continental food. This homecooked organic pasta in olive oil and chicken looks delicious.
