To prep your skin for a day make-up, it’s important to cleanse, tone and moisturise your skin well. In case you tend to sweat, do rub an ice cube before toning and moisturising. Part of prep is to even hydrate your lips and pay little extra attention to the under eyes area. For the perfect festive day make-up, we would prefer matte-based products.

A good primer is a must have to keep sweat at bay. The idea is to get minimalistic look without too many colours. to balance the brightness of outfit. Start with a concealer to cover the flaws. For an even look, a liquid mattifying foundation is preferred for a softer dewy look. Apply it with a brush to achieve optimum results, otherwise a beauty blender is handy too. Dark-coloured foundation or dark matte powder blush can be used to contour the cheek bones, nose and jaw. Use a slightly lighter coloured cream-based foundation to highlight the cheek bones and nose ridge. Apply translucent powder to set the make-up and prevent it from melting. Use a soft coral or peach coloured blush, keeping the warm tone in mind, on the apple of the cheeks. Avoid highlighters and shine to keep it soft.

Prep your eyes with an eye primer or concealer and then apply setting powder to avoid cracks. Start by using a soft brown on the crease line to define it with a fluffy blending brush. Apply nude warm colour in the inner corner with a placing brush and in the outer corner, a slightly darker brown. Blend well with the same fluffy brush. This look calls for a winged or flick liner to complete the traditional attire. Avoid thick kajal. Just on the water line would do. Gel liners are best suitable and are easy to apply. To make your eyes pop, use a metallic eyeshadow or some bling on the centre of the eyes, just for the that extra zing. Finish with curling lashes and by applying mascara. Fill in your eyebrows with a brown filler for naturally made ones.

Outline with a caramel colour lip liner and fill with the same. Use a liquid matte nude colour for perfect silky pout. Always finish your make-up with setting spray.
