Durga Puja Special: Turn Heads With Honeymoon Star Subhashree Ganguly’s Look On Navami

The penultimate day of Durga Pujo calls for a look that is glamorous. This easy make-up decode will help you get that.

Ever since she stormed into Tollywood, Burdwan girl Subhashree Ganguly has managed to steal a lot of hearts. The Honeymoon star is not only a good actor, but also has a great sense of fashion and style. So before Durga Pooja ends, why not copy her make-up and turn heads at the pandal? Wondering how? We got make-up artist Deepti Mohindar to decode her make-up for you. Check out this uber-glamorous look.

This ultra-glam look is perfect for Navami. It needs a good prep. Use a cleanser and exfoliator on your face and lips to begin with. If you have time in hand, use a glow pack for the right hydration and then moisturise your skin and use an under-eye cream too. Start your makeup with primer on the face and then apply a liquid illuminator on the cheek bones and nose ridge and a little bit on the Cupid bow of your lips.

Start with colour correction, that would be peaches to orange concealer on your dark circles or pigmentation, depending on how deep they are. If there is redness, then apply slightly darker skin coloured concealer on the same spots for full coverage. For this softer dewy look, we don’t build with foundation, instead we cover our flaws to perfection. Then apply one or two layers of liquid foundation closest to your skin colour for medium coverage, preferably using a brush or a beauty blender. Contour your cheek bones, nose and jaw line for a chiselled look. Use a cream blush on your cheeks for the blush to last longer. Here we introduce strobing which is opposite of contouring, it means using a lighter-coloured concealer or foundation which should be cream based on parts which are not contoured. Apply in V-shape under the eyes and one line on the nose ridge for sharpness. Blend, blend, blend. Set it with translucent powder. Use a pink powder blush and highlighter to complete the base of this look.

Start with building a crease line with a soft brown with the help of a fluffy blending brush. Start the eyeshadow from the inner corner. With brighter colours, hold in the inner corner of the eyes to not only make them look bigger but also for getting the perfect almond shape. So, use gold in the inner corner gold, for the middle part, go with pink and use dark brown for the outer corner. Use a blending brush to remove any harsh lines. Use a gel liner, making it thinner to thicker from inner to outer corner of eyes. Then extending the liner from the lower lash line, make a thicker wing. Use ample amount of kajal on your water line. Apply mascara. One can add fake eyelashes to lift your glam quotient. Fill in your brows with natural brown brow filler.

It’s a perfect wine colour fit for this festive season. So outline with the closest shade of lip liner and fill with the same. Use a liquid matte lipstick and gloss only at the centre. If you want your lipstick to last longer, dab with a tissue paper and powder it and reapply another coat.
