Africa. The name itself conjures up so many images in our minds. There’s miles and miles of grasslands. And wildlife – of every kind, from zebras and lions to gorillas and elephants and rhinos, they are all there in Africa. Also, the thought of Africa is incomplete without the image of Mount Kilimanjaro – Africa’s highest peak. And going on an African safari sounds like a dream vacation. Guess who is living the dream? It’s none other than the director-actress duo of the Bengali film Abhimaan – Raj Chakraborty and wifey Subhashree Ganguly.

The real-life couple is having a blast in the Serengeti National Park which is spread from Tanzania to Kenya in east-central Africa. Check out the photos here.

Looking out for wildlife? That’s what Subhashree seems to be doing, glued to a pair of binoculars. We are curious to find out if she has managed to spot any wild animal.

A lioness coming and sniffing your car tyres? Everything is possible when you are on an African safari.

Taking off into the wild? That’ what Subhashree seems to be all set to do here. Her choice of outfit —  black vest, camouflage trousers and combat boots with backpack and Lennon glasses – is something we totally approve.

It’s definitely a successful safari if you see a pride of lions. We wished spotting a tiger in the Sunderbans was this easy. Sigh.

And now cubs too.

They spotted zebras as well in Masaimara.

You cannot go to Africa and not meet the Masais and check out their customs. Raj and Subhashree did the same too.
