In This Time Of Pandemic, Madhumita Sarcar Has An Important Message

The ZEE5 Original Series Judgement Day actor is right. Amid the Corona Virus pandemic, it is important that we keep this one thing in mind.

Madhumita Sarcar

The Corona Virus scare has been declared a pandemic across the world, putting us in an emergency situation to prevent further damage and casualties. The first patient has already tested positive in Kolkata so the scare is closer home than we imagined. While we are all concerned with taking precautionary measures as much as possible, ZEE5 Original Series Judgement Day actor Madhumita Sarcar has an important message for us. Watch the promo for the series below.

The gorgeous young actor posted the following video on her social media page:

She effectively illustrates one mistake many of us can be prone to making– letting the tap run endlessly and wasting tons of water in the process. She cautions us against being careless enough to do this by paying attention and take care to turn off the tap as soon as we are done with washing our hands thoroughly. While it is crucial that we keep ourselves clean and wash our hands frequently, there is such a thing as going overboard for no benefit whatsoever.

Madhumita’s call for reducing water wastage is important for many environmental reasons. The earth is facing a severe shortage of clean water supplies, and it would be mindless to contribute towards it. Clean water sustains practically all forms of life on our planet, and now especially, we simply cannot afford to squander it! Just as the shortages of sanitiser and face masks are affecting us, particularly the patients in hospitals, we do not want to come to a point where we lack something as basic as water. To avoid such a situation, let us do as Madhumita urges and turn off the tap when not in use. In fact, to prevent wasting much of water, make sure it is running at a steady stream and not an unnecessarily heavy gush. Turn off the tap when lathering soap on your hands, and turn it back on when washing off. When you brush your teeth as well, practice the same habit– turn off when brushing and turn it back on when you need it. This may seem like a simple thing, but when one thinks of all the people in the world, wasting even a little bit of water can really add up in gallons!

Let us take care and stay safe in times like these.
