Prosenjit and Rituparna Sengupta made a comeback in the superhit movie Praktan, directed by Shiboprasad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy. It is the story of an estranged couple, who come face-to-face again during a train journey. Romance, longing and the trials and turbulations of the heart are depicted beautifully in this movie.

2. Ebar Shabor

Detective Shabor Dasgupta from the Kolkata Police has been called to investigate the murder of Mitali. She’s a woman with a messy past, who has been killed in her own home where she had thrown a party for close friends and family. A taut thriller which will keep you at the edge of your seat, Ebar Shabor stars Saswata Chatterjee, Payel Sarkar, Abir Chatterjee and Swastika Mukherjee in the lead roles.

3. Kishore Kumar Junior

A Kishore-konthi singer who has been renamed Kishore Kumar Junior himself. He’s a talented singer, but an alcoholic who comes back home every day after his shows and fights with his wife. One day, he and his troupe get invited for a government function near the Pakistan border in Rajasthan. Trouble hits them when they kidnapped on the way. Do they manage to escape? Prosenjit and Aparajita Auddy have given stellar performances in Kaushik Ganguly directed Kishore Kumar Junior.

4. Byomkesh Bakshi

A movie about satyanneshi Byomkesh Bakshi never fails to rake in the moolah. Tollywood currently has quite a few actors playing the role of Byomkesh – Abir Chatterjee, Parambrata Chattopadhyay and Jisshu Sengupta. In Byomkesh Bakshi, it is Abir who does the role of Byomkesh. Here, he has been asked to investigate the death of the foul-mouthed Anandi Haldar who has a lot of enemies because of his nature. Byomkesh takes on the case along with best friend Ajit.

The latest Jeet blockbuster Shesh Theke Shuru is a treat to watch. This Raj Chakraborty film stars Jeet and Koel Mallick in the lead roles as Mahid Sheikh and Pujarini. They meet on a flight to London and gradually, fall in love with each other. But Mahid needs to go back home to Bangladesh to settle a family dispute. That’s where their relationship starts taking a nosedive. Will they recover from all the dark secrets that emerge from Mahid’s past?
