The current Corona Virus pandemic, which originated in Wuhan, China and has now spread throughout the world, has got every citizen on the planet concerned for their safety. Governments are announcing lockdowns of entire countries and other extreme measures to contain this highly infectious strain of the virus which, as yet, has no cure. However, during this pandemic, it is important to try not to panic and instead, do the best we can to stay safe.
She highlights all the ways we can be optimistic through these times of quarantine and social distancing when people find themselves with a lot more time to appreciate the wonders of life instead of being caught up in the rat race. For instance, now is the time that we finally wake up to what we are missing out on, such as taking a walk in a park and soaking in nature’s beauty. On the bright side, we have more time to ourselves so we can enjoy activities we could not before, such as cooking a fresh meal from scratch at home or actually engaging with our family members whom we live with that we would otherwise take for granted. We have also woken up to the repercussions of abusing natural resources and are forced to be much more conscious of the environment. Indeed, with so much to be thankful for in life, why waste our time and thoughts on panicking for no good?
